Commission Requests/Forms: ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ A commission/project request form MUST be filled out prior to any consideration of acceptance. This is quite simply for record keeping. I absolutely will not get started on a commission/project without the form being filled out. If a form is partially or incorrectly filled out I will ask you to re-submit the form. This is really important. These forms help keep me focused, on track and dead accurate as to what you want! I encourage you to be as thorough as possible with this!!! If you want to write a novella (not always recommended) please do. Just make sure you cover everything you want and/or need so I can get your commission/project done right the FIRST time. Be precise, on track and as detailed, expressive, colorful and clear as possible. Include references. I will LOVE you if you give me a million references. In fact, my level of love for you is directly correlated to the number of references you give me. More is good! =D Any errors or problems arising from a partial, improper or incorrect form will -not- be refunded and will only be changed if time, ability and tools permit. So, if you forgot your character didn't have a tail and I've already drawn it in real media, you're stuck with it. If it was digital media, I'll remove it, but you're still paying for it and you more then likely will get an added charge for the trouble, unless it's something minor. Revisions will be covered in greater detail shortly. Remember, reducing my overall work helps to reduce your overall cost! =) Opening and Closing a commission/project(transaction period: IE, active, closed, pending)/Refunds and Repairs: ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ A commission/project is considered either "Active", "Closed" or "Pending" depending on it's progress and activity to date. An "Active" commission is one in which TWO or more of the following guidelines are being met consistently: it is currently paid and/or actively being worked on and/or is reliably being communicated on. A "Closed" or "Pending" commission/project is one in which ONE OR MORE of the following guidelines are being met: it is no longer receiving payment and/or is not actively being worked on and/or is not being reliably communicated on. So, it breaks down to this: If you want your commission/project to stay "Active" you'll have to make sure it's paid for and make sure you're keeping communication open with me. If your email/phone/ability to communicate goes away and I go a month without being able to communicate with you AND we haven't come to an understanding before hand, then I'll more then likely put your commission/project under the "Pending" category. If your commission/project is deemed "Pending" you will have up to 90 days to reactivate it by getting in contact with me. "Pending" commissions/projects will be removed from my queue list after 30 days. Please see my "Queue" section for more detail. After 90 days I'll assume you no longer have interest in the commission/project's completion and I'll deem the commission/project as "Closed". After a commission/project has been paid in full, completed and presented to you (via email or snail mail), you will have a period of 30 days in which to contact me to inform me of it's successful arrival and also to inform me of any issues that may arise which require my attention. That means, if I've sent the commission/project to you, but don't hear back from you for a month, I will assume the commission/project was accepted, found to be satisfactory and in no need of repair, alteration or so forth. At this point the commission/project will then be deemed "Closed". Likewise, if I've sent the commission/project to you after it's completion, but you find it flawed in any manner, you have 30 days in which to inform me of this so that I might decided whether or not it's something needing my repair. After the 30 day period I will assume the commission/project was accepted, found to be satisfactory and in no need of repair, alteration or so forth, and then will be deemed "Closed". If at any time the commission/project is aborted without completion, a full or partial refund may be given depending on the nature and current progress of the commission/project. A full refund will only be given during "reversible and noncommittal" stages of a commission/project and ONLY under certain circumstances. This means the rough sketching/concept stage. If I've started the revised sketch it's too late for a full refund. Only a partial refund will be offered. The total amount refunded will be based upon the amount of labor invested in the work to date. Payment: ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Commission/project payments will follow one of two processes depending on the nature of the individual commission/project. Either (A) full payment will be required immediately upon acceptance of the commission/project or, (B) 1/2 to 3/4 of the payment will be required immediately upon acceptance of the commission/project. In both cases work will not begin until the payment has been received AND all funds are cleared. I assume absolutely no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged payments. Make sure you secure your payment, and track it if you can. I will alert you the day your payment arrives and the day the funds clear. All costs are subject to change at my description at any time during the commission/project's duration and until it's completion. Typical additional costs will come from last minute changes, significant changes, additions to the image, and/or increases in image detail. I have a form and do rough sketches for a reason. Take advantage of this. Get your idea strait in your head make those big changes AT THE BEGINNING. Any payments after the initial payment will be requested either halfway through the commission/project's duration or at its completion. I will not mail or display a commission unless it has been paid for. Any unpaid commission/project that sits inactive for a period longer then two to three months (roughly 60 - 90 days) will be considered closed unless arrangements are made before hand or in cases of extreme emergency. Please don't just drop off the face of the earth. If you have something come up, let me know, or at least inform me as soon as possible afterward. I will keep all commissions/projects en queue for a minimum of one year, at which time the commission/project will most likely be scrapped to make room for another. I reserve the right at any time past the 90 days of inactivity to handle a commission/project as I see fit. This includes, but is not limited to the manipulation, addition, subtraction, sale or destruction of said commission/project. I accept PayPal, check, money order, credit card (via PayPal) and cash. Again, and I stress, I assume absolutely no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged payments. Make sure you secure your payment, and track it if you can. I will alert you the day your payment arrives and the day the funds clear. This is your time to talk and communicate with me what it is you want. Make your mistakes and be forgetful (if you must) here because later on down the road there will be a charge for revisions. Please make sure you are as clear and detailed as possible when explaining what you desire. This helps to reduce the amount of revisions needed to get your commission/project right. Queue: ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ I use a "queue" system for organizing and prioritizing my commissions/projects. This system lists the client's name, their commission/project summary and the commission/project's status. The clients and commissions/projects are listed in ascending order from 1 and up with "1" being the highest priority, "2" being the second highest, "3" the third highest and each higher number in line being the priority after. For the most part, commissions/projects will be started and completed in this order with exceptions -occasionally- being made for very small and very quick commissions like icons, badges and sketches. To make it onto the queue list and to have a secured spot on my queue list you will have to have your request form AND half or full payment sent to me with funds cleared. I WILL not be adding people onto my queue list UNTIL I've got a completed form AND at least half payment. I will typically remove clients from my queue list for two reasons: (1) Your commission/project has been successfully completed, or (2) Your commission/project has been moved to a "Pending" or "Closed" status. "Pending" commissions/projects will be removed from my queue list after 30 days. "Closed" commissions/projects will be removed immediately. Relax. Having your name removed from my queue does not necessarily mean your commission has be deleted. I will hold all paperwork, money, and information for a MINIMUM of one (1) year. Deadlines: ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ I will not accept deadlines often or easily. I will be up front with you about the --estimated-- time it will take to complete your commission/project when I quote the price of your commission/project. If you absolutely insist on a commission/project being completed at a specific time, and I accept this deadline, an additional fee up to 50% of the total commission/project cost may be applied to have it completed when you specify. There is a ONE WEEK MINIMUM for the commission/project to be due within. If you ask for something overnight you're just gonna tick me off. >=\ Please plan your business with me ahead of time so we can both enjoy the process. =) For the average commission/project, once your commission is fully paid and moved into the "Active" category and so long as you are communicating with me -no less- then once a week, I average no more then a 1-6 month wait to complete a commission/project--average wait being 1-4 months or more for moderate to high detail commissions/projects. There will be exceptions to this for extremely complicated commissions/projects, but I will communicate this to you early on in the process. I absolutely promise no commission/project will remain incomplete for a period longer then one year. If for some cataclysmic reason your commission/project exceeds this time frame and I am at fault, a full or partial refund will more then likely be offered. Remember, communication is the key. The faster you communicate with me, the faster things can move along! Bottom line however, I will have your commission/project completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Good things take time. Rights, Ownership, Distribution and Profits: ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ I ALWAYS reserve the right to alter, display, copy, distribute and/or sell any commission/project as I see fit. If you wish me not to alter, distribute and/or sell your commission/project, then you will need to tell me specifically that you wish to purchase rights to the image. This will increase the cost of your commission by 75% (to compensate for potential loss in sales of prints) and buys you full rights to the image, plus gets you the physical original (if applicable). I will give up and transfer my rights to alter, distribute and sell the image. However, I ALWAYS retain the right to copy and display the image (under 800 x 800 pxls for digital and 8.5" x 11" for real media) as one of my accomplishments in any of my galleries or portfolios. This will give you full rights to copy, alter, distribute, print and sell this image however you see fit. Print it out and offer copies to your friends, sell copies, or use it as toilet paper if you want. It's all yours!
